. Though the HERO8 is waterproof, this protective housing offers additional protection against dust, mud, and debris and allows you to dive underwater up to 196'.
The housing features a flat glass lens to ensure a clear, clean shot while underwater or on land. If you need to adjust the camera settings while the housing is attached, it also allows access to the camera's touchscreen. Since the housing is enclosed, it will mute your audio, so an optional skeleton back door is included to open up the microphone. However, the skeleton back door is only for use on land since it will not contribute to protection or waterproofing.

for extra protection during extreme outdoor activities and deep-water diving. Waterproof to depths of 196', the Super Suit is great for SCUBA activities. Since the Super Suit completely surrounds the camera, it's also ideal for adventures in areas with fine sand and dust, or where the camera may come in contact with flying debris. If the 197' depth protection is not needed, the waterproof backdoor can be substituted for the skeleton backdoor, which allows for touchscreen operation. With the waterproof backdoor, operation of the camera is limited to one-button navigation and remote control. To keep image quality pristine, the glass lens on the front is flat, as to not introduce any extra distortion or diffraction.
